Commissioned work for the 50th birthday of two friends, one living in Virginia and the other one in Washington DC. The water flowing under the Key Bridge linking the two states, the red chairs and the champagne were the items they both wanted.
On this side, her dog, a seagull, and a hot air balloon were personal elements she wanted, together with her daughters. As this was to seal a celebration and they both love champagne, the bubbles appeared to bring joy to the setting.
